Lindsey moved to Newfoundland from Ontario in 2004 to complete her Bachelor of Arts at Memorial University. Although music was her primary field of study, she began her career in various office management roles after graduation in 2006.
In 2011, Lindsey was hired by Krown Property Investments for part-time data entry. The company was comprised of 4 employees and has had tremendous growth over the last 10+ years.
In 2013 Lindsey was promoted to General Manager, and she has been involved in every aspect of the business since. In 2015 with Krown Group of Companies expanding into various industries and broadening their real estate portfolio, the dream of Krown Realty was born. Lindsey became a licensed Realtor shortly after and began practicing Real Estate immediately. After a few years of getting her feet wet and expanding her knowledge, Lindsey completed her Broker’s Exam in 2021, and the dream of Krown Realty became a reality!
With over 10 years of experience in property management (including residential, condominium and commercial), Lindsey is an EXPERT at identifying solid investment opportunities, understanding the rental market, navigating condo ownership, reviewing estoppel certificates/financials/by-laws, and working with tenants and first-time home buyers. Darren Freake
President/Owner
Darren was raised in Lewisporte by self-employed parents, and he was taught at an early age the value of honesty, hard work and customer service. At the age of 18, Darren left Lewisporte to attend business school in St John's, where he started a part-time job in the marine industry. This position grew to a full-time management job.
During this work, he was able to purchase three rental properties, which gave him the beginning knowledge to start his own business in real estate management. Krown was formed thirteen years ago by Darren with 13 units and one other employee and has grown to over 1200 units, including over 20 non for profit and condo corporations and a staff of 20 office employees and contractors.
The Krown group now consists of four divisions: renovations and new home construction, commercial snow clearing, lawn care and real estate management. Other areas of the Krown group include bin rentals, appliance repair, and Line-X/Paul Murphy Services.

Holly Halfyard

Holly was born in St. John’s and attended Memorial University, completing her Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in Sociology and Psychology. She also obtained a Certificate in Criminology.
Holly joined the Krown Property Management team as a Leasing Agent. However, her keen interest in digital marketing has now led her to take on the role of Business Developer for Krown Group of Companies. Holly manages the company’s social media presence, develops marketing objectives, and connects with new clients looking for peace of mind from their investment properties.
After years of residential property management, Holly wanted to expand her skillset further by becoming a licensed real estate agent! She offers expert advice on what makes an excellent investment property. Dealing with the Residential Tenancies component of property management, she clearly understands the rules and regulations in the Residential Tenancy Act, allowing her to be a strong advocate for tenants and landlords.
Holly is your go-to if you’re also interested in purchasing an Airbnb investment! Through Krown Property Management, she started the foundation for the successful Airbnb service it now operates due to her keen insight into the increasing demand for short-term rentals in the city. She is an expert at identifying how to optimize revenue for investors!
